The semi-standard motor controller Supertiger has been improved with added functionality and increased motor power.
In addition to motor control the Supertiger can be used as system controller. The Supertiger controls torque, speed and position and drives up to four motor phases, i.e. 1-2 motors in parallel of the type brushed / brushless DC or stepper motors (two or three phases). An extensive function library enables a short lead time (2-3 weeks) with customer-specific programming. The available interfaces include RS-485, CAN 2.0, free I/O and motor-feedback systems such as resolver, incremental and hall sensors.
The Supertiger can also be used in sensorless mode. The maximum continuous current is 36 A @ 48 VDC and the board measures 140 x 95 x 26 mm. The Supertiger is suitable for all cost-sensitive applications demanding good motor control in machinery, general automation, handling and instruments technology.
